Dr. Amal Al Rahbi and her students achieved 3rd place among 100 scientific research entries from across Arab countries in a competition at Doha University of Science and Technology in Qatar.

At the OQ8 event in Duqm (a joint Hackathon and Civil Society event), Dr. Avnish Pareek's Gelatous team won first place in the civil society category and fourth place in the Hackathon.

The College of Applied Sciences and Pharmacy (CASP) demonstrated strong leadership during Oman Climate Week, notably by organizing the international conference on Sustainable Waste Management 2025 (SWM2025).

At the Annual Research Meeting on Chemistry, organized by the Department of Chemistry, College of Science at SQU on February 17th, 2025, Dr. Dhanalakshmi and her students (UTAS-Muscat) won the Best Poster Award in the Master's level competition

Earning recognition from the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences (JPharmSci®) editors for groundbreaking work published between October 1, 2023, and September 30, 2024, is acknowledged through the Dr. Jokha Hamed Hilal AL-Qassabi award.

Dr. Sara Al-Araimi and her students won first place in the Sustainable Development Goals Award for its innovative project: 'Design and manufacture of a bioreactor for landfill to enhance biogas production and benefit from food waste.

The Gelatous team (UTAS-Sur), led by Dr. Avnish Pareek, won the award for best innovative product in the university category at the 2024 Injaz Al Arab Middle East competition held in Dubai.

Dr. Pankaj Sah and his students were awarded Best Poster Presentation for their work on ‘Isolation and characterization of indigenous Coscinodiscus as a potential feedstock for biodiesel production.

UTAS Chemistry project students, supervised by Dr. Amal Al Rahbi, received this award at the Innovation Competition during the 17th Leaders of Tomorrow event in Dubai, UAE.

The Chemistry section at UTAS-Muscat received an award in recognition of their outstanding contributions, dedication to research excellence, and innovative impact on the academic community between 2019 and 2024.
